Film Highlight Reel
What you most likely saw on the homepage was a collection of shots from various projects I've worked on. Well if you're feeling extra curious, you can now view the entirety of this Highlight Reel here.
Rose
Rose - Is a 10 minute Short Film which I DP'd for alongside an incredible crew with Jacob Robicheau at the helm. Loosely based on his father's start up garage band from the 60's, I helped to fashion this story of a kid wanting to find his way with his own music outside the shadows of his peers.
International Justice Mission
The International Justice Mission (or known as IJM) is the world's largest Anti-trafficking NPO that works directly with governments, world leaders, as well as courts and judicial systems to help combat modern-day slavery, violence and abuse of power in law enforcement. I had the honor of working as a part-time videographer & editor for one of their company events in Manhattan where I covered the reception, guest interaction, and mission statements by some of their guest speakers.
The Pitch
Written, Filmed, and Edited by yours truly - The Pitch was an end of semester final project created for my Directing Image & Sound Course in my third year at Emerson. Ironically, the premise of the short serves as a meta-commentary on the assignment itself. I was suffering major 'Writer's Block' in trying to come up with a short film for the final, thatI decided "why not make it about that". So delve into the mental journey of a struggling screenwriter (portrayed by my friend Jacob) as he tries to
find his "big idea" to strike gold in the industry.
Digital Age
This was an AMAZING Music Video born from the mind of Director Valeria Rodriguez whom I had the privilege of working with as part of the camera team for this project. All of which was captured on a Soundstage with black backdrops, light fixtures / frames, and cameras such as: a JIB Crane, and a 4 - wheel manual drive fisher dolly.
Sole Purpose
Ah...the one that started it all. Sole Purpose is the FIRST short film I put together which got me into Emerson's Film Program when I first applied back in Fall of 2020. Lot of memories attached to this project, which I will carry the rest of my life. How it literally took ALL my friends and family from home to put this together and tell this story. I remember thinking about the montage from Pixar's 'UP' and how they could tell SO much without any words, and I knew I wasn't working with professional actors / actresses so I had to find a way to convey heart, emotion, and sincerity. The end result being: a silent film about growing up from the perspective of shoes. While it would hardly be counted among my best 'recent' work as of late, I will forever remain proud of this film. Plus, if I ever win the Oscar it'd be fun to look back and see where I started from.
Quiet Time - Foley Project
Among the Earliest of College Projects- "Quiet Time" dealt in experimentation with "Foley" or Naturally recreated sound. So anything you hear in this is NOT camera audio. But rather prop-made, duplicated sound effects.
Recipe For Disaster
Made this 1920's - "Chaplin Esque" silent short romantic comedy skit with my family back during COVID times. Really put to the test how minimalistic you can be stuck in the house with only one camera and three actors.
